Here are just a few requirements you’ll have to successfully complete in order to become a police officer. I call these the six “BIGGIES.”
- High School Diploma (Some agencies require at least an associate degree)
- Clean Criminal Background
- In good enough shape to pass the police physical fitness test
- You must pass the polygraph test
- You must successfully pass the police exam
- You must pass the oral board interview

As you can see from the video, there several different steps you’ll have to go through in order to get hired. Unfortunately, the selection process is a bit long and tedious, but it’s all worth if you get hired.
