The Georgia police training academy for future police officers has some general requirements you must meet before you can enroll. The police officer academy in Georgia doesn’t just allow anyone to enroll into the basic academy. In fact, if you have any felony convictions, are out of shape, or have poor communication skills, you won’t make the cut.
Below are some general requirements and qualifications that you must meet in order to successfully enroll into the Georgia law enforcement training academy.
- 21 years of age
- High School graduate or GED
- Valid Georgia or South Carolina Driver’s License
- Excellent Driving Record
- No Felony Convictions
- U.S. Citizen
- Good Physical and Mental Health
- Associate Degree preferred
- Prior Law Enforcement experience preferred.
