Very few of us are happy with our career. Most of us spend our lives in a career because we just fell into it. All too often, a lack of fulfillment and the feeling that we are working because we have to and not because we want to surfaces. With stats like that, it’s even more important to pursue a career that you’ll actually be happy doing for the next 20-25 years.
Don’t be like the majority who sacrifice happiness for a large paycheck. I’ve been a police officer for almost a decade now and although being a cop won’t get me on Forbes 100 list, I can truly say that I’m satisfied with my career.
If you want to be a police officer, you are going to face an uphill battle. Why? Not everyone is cut out to be a police officer. Many will apply to become a police officer and won’t be able to pass the police aptitude test, the oral board interview and/or the physical fitness test.
