San Antonio Police Department Civil Service Exam
If you want to work for the San Antonio Police Department let me be the first one to tell you it’s not going to be easy. In fact, your score on a police civil service exam will determine whether you move ahead in the selection process or not. Here are the requirements you must meet in order to take the SAPD entrance test. If you don’t meet some of the following requirements below you won’t be allowed to take the test:
- You not not have been convicted of domestic battery
- You must not have any cases pending
- You must have a valid Texas driver’s license and not revoked or suspended
- You must not have been dishonorably discharged from the military
- Must be at least 20 years and 6 months at time of written examination (contact a recruiter for minimum age exception).
- Must be a United States Citizen at the time of application.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. plus 12 college hours.
- Must not have reached 45 years of age at time of appointment to the Police Academy
